Lungeflyteprøven (The Floating Lung Test) is Tore Renberg’s first historical novel and it has received brilliant reviews. Tonight the audience can experience an exclusive and exciting hour: Editor and author Trygve Riiser Gundersen interviews Tore Renberg about The Floating Lung Test. Some passages of the book will be read, of course, and to top it all Munor will present musical accompaniment from the baroque age. Renberg’s story comes from Leipzig, Saxony in 1681: 15-year-old Anna Voigt is charged with the murder of her new-born child. If she is found guilty as charged, she will be put to death. The novel unfolds an astonishing tale of a society that punishes its daughters and sons harshly, of torture and execution, and of the floating lung test that became the start of modern forensic medicine.
